Kati Sass

My career in logistics began in 1998 as a transport manager in a Finnish company Huolintakeskus Fashionet OÜ that was specialised in transporting hanging garments and fabrics. Initially, we worked as a group of three. We picked and packed garments and organised carriages between Finland, Sweden, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine and Belarus. This unit has been merged with and separated from different companies until we finally ended up in Itella Estonia OÜ.

In addition to transport management, I have been able to perform various jobs over the years from order picking to running the customs terminal.

What fascinates me about this job is the variety and abundance of challenges.  The satisfaction after finding a solution to a seemingly impossible situation. I have not been bored!

My best memories with Itella are connected to the people in particular, as well as to good long-term relationships with clients and partners. It has been a great honour to work with the specialists in the field and with young and talented colleagues. I remember our trips to nature, filled with sports and different activities. We have had fun!

My recommendation for new employees is to be courageous, curious and open.
