Handing over parcels to Itella

Through parcel terminal – Parcels can be handed over from blue parcel terminals with personal door code.

Courier – Create a parcel order in Smartpost self-service my.smartpost.ee. To order pickup via e-mail, order must be sent to kuller@itella.com.  Collection order has to contain name of the company, exact address, phone number, expected quantity of parcels and the preferred timewindow for collection, which must be at least 2 hours.

Itella carries out pickups from Monday to Friday. The order submission time for same-day pickup from Tallinn and the immediate vicinity of Tallinn (~10 km) is 12:00 at the latest. Collections of orders that have arrived later and collections outside of Tallinn or its immediate surroundings will take place on the following working day or, if possible, on the day of placing the order (working day).

Bringing the goods to Itella terminal:Jälgimäe tee 13 B, Tänassilma küla, 76406 Saku vald, Harjumaa (loading slot no. 61B, trailer/tailgate loading slots no. 63 – 64) Mon – Fri from 09.00 – 17.00.

Delivery process

Smartcourier service is available to customers 6 days a week on the day following the order (except on Sunday, public holidays and small islands).

Customer recieves parcel arrival notification on the morning of delivery day via SMS or e-mail with estimated time of arrival. Courier also calls the private customer prior to delivery.

If delivery is unsuccessful on first attempt, courier will arrange another time if necessary. Upon customer request it is also possible to redirect the parcel to parcel terminal without additional fee if it meets the size requirements.

The size of a parcel is determined by the dimensions (height x width x depth). A total of 6 (six) different sizes are distinguished (XS, S, M, L, XL, XXL). Parcels are measured at the sorting center and shipping costs are calculated based on the size specified at the sorting center.

Returns

Business Customer can use return services, when agreed with Itella Estonia OÜ.

Return service allows Customer to return the goods back to sender within 14 days of recieving the parcel.

A parcel that has not been accepted by the recipient during the storage period or delivery has failed will be returned to the sender at the destination specified by the sender for returns.

Additional services

Additional serviceDescription
CODRecipient makes card payment to courier when receiving a parcel. Sender pays for shipping and COD additional service fee. Itella transfers COD amount back to account specified by sender.
Recipient identification with ID card or age verificationIn case of identification of the recipient with an ID card, it is necessary to know the recipient’s personal code, which must be filled when submitting the order. Based on the ID card, only the person whose personal code is entered in the order can recieve the parcel. In the case of age verification, the recipient’s age is checked on the basis of the ID card before the parcel is issued. The shipment can be received between 10:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.
Delivery notification via SMSWhen recipient recieves the parcel, SMS message is sent to the sender.
Delivery notification via e-mailWhen recipient recieves the parcel, e-mail is sent to the sender.
Shipment redirectionAt the request of the business customer (sender), it is possible to redirect the parcel to another destination chosen by the recipient.

When ordering a service from Itella Estonia OÜ, you confirm that you have read the terms and conditions and undertake to comply with them.

Itella Estonia has the right to unilaterally change the price list for the purpose of ensuring the efficiency and competitiveness of its operations, notifying the customer at least 30 calendar days in advance.
