Expand your business to Finland
How can I send a parcel to Finland?
Which options do we offer business clients for sending parcels to Finland? We have the biggest postal network for sending parcels to Finland – more than 1,000 parcel terminals and 700 post offices throughout Finland.
A parcel posted today will be in Helsinki tomorrow and as far as in Lapland the day after that.
All parcels sent by smartpost are handled we care during their long journey. This means safe transport in Estonia, at sea and in Finland. All parcel terminals in Finland are located indoors to protect the parcel from the impact of weather.
Parcel to parcel terminal or post office
There are two ways of sending parcels to Finland:
- parcel terminal;
- post office.
Sending a parcel to a parcel terminal is quick and easy, just like sending one to Estonia. You can send the parcel from a parcel terminal or have it picked up by a courier. There are currently more than 1,000 parcel terminals in Finland to which you can send your parcels. You can view the locations of the parcel terminals here.
If you want to send a parcel to a post office, you can do that also via a parcel terminal or by having a courier pick it up. You can view the locations of the 700 post offices in Finland here.
You must carefully follow the instructions on how to pack and send the parcel whether you send it to a parcel terminal or a post office, because packing the parcel also helps ensure there are no bad surprises when it arrives. Putting a fragile crystal item in a plastic bag and hoping that it’s enough is certainly not reasonable.
You should also pay attention to the transport of prohibited and hazardous substances. For example, sending food that spoils quickly, radioactive and explosive substances, narcotic and psychotropic substances, live animals, etc., is prohibited. Take a look at the full list on our website.
Self-service makes sending parcels easier
The self-service of smartpost makes sending parcels to Finland easier. All you have to do is click a couple of buttons to select the suitable parcel size, fill in the details of the sender and the recipient, and pay for the parcel via bank link. The door code for sending the parcel and the invoice will then be e-mailed to you. You can also send several parcels at once in self-service. All pre-payments can be listed on a single invoice and sent to you accountant from the system.
