We support the Blue Hepatica campaign “Let Us Salute!”
On 1 April, the Blue Hepatica campaign “Let Us Salute!” began for the tenth time. During the campaign, veterans of the Defence Forces and the Defence League are invited to wear the Blue Hepatica pin.
In the spring of 2023, donations will be collected to support veterans and their loved ones, as well as different local projects. In cooperation with the Pärnu Bay Rotary Club, the Blue Hepatica campaign helps to make the Pärnu beach accessible to people with special needs; the Hiiumaa hospital to purchase a much needed video colonoscope; and in cooperation with the Paralympic Committee to create the possibility for para-skiing at the Kiviõli Adventure Centre.
The campaign runs from 1 to 30 April. During this period, the Blue Hepatica pin can be purchased as a donation at the shop at www.annameau.ee.
The Blue Hepatica campaign is carried out by the Estonian Society of Wounded Soldiers in cooperation with the Women’s Voluntary Defence Organisation. Itella Estonia is one of the supporters of the campaign.
There are more than 3,000 veterans among us, who have participated in various international military and peacekeeping operations around the world. The symbol of the veterans is the Blue Hepatica with which everyone can show that we value their contribution to our common security.
Each Blue Hepatica pin, made by people with special needs across Estonia through the Hea Hoog Foundation, is a unique handicraft.
